WHO WE ARE

WE R IRAN is a nonprofit, technocratic Think-to-Do organization founded by Iranian-American professionals and technocrats in Silicon Valley and Northern California.


We are engineers, entrepreneurs, academics, policy thinkers, subject-matter experts, and community leaders united by a shared belief: the people of Iran deserve to live in freedom, dignity, security, and democracy.


Rooted in the principles of liberty, secular governance, human rights, and the rule of law, we support Iran’s transition toward a secular democracy, one in which religion and state are separate and every citizen enjoys equal rights regardless of gender, ethnicity, belief, or political viewpoint.


But our work does not end with freedom.


We are preparing for what comes next.


WE R IRAN brings together expertise, ideas, technology, and global networks to help develop practical solutions for rebuilding a free, modern, and prosperous Iran.


Inspired by Iran’s historic Lion and Sun, we stand in solidarity with the people of Iran and their aspirations for freedom. We amplify their voices while mobilizing global expertise to help prepare for Iran’s post-authoritarian future.

  

Our work focuses on four priorities:


Democratic Transition: Supporting strategies and expertise for a peaceful transition to secular democracy.


Civil Society & Human Rights: Amplifying Iranian voices and supporting fundamental rights and freedoms.


Rebuilding & Prosperity: Developing practical frameworks for economic, technological, and institutional reconstruction.


Global Collaboration: Connecting Iran’s future with the expertise, capital, technology, and networks of the Iranian diaspora and international community.
